Rev Fr Valia Mathen Kathanar was instrumental in the construction of our family church, Orsalom at Vaikom. He is the 10th son of Kallarackal Kadavil Shri.Varkey Varkey 2nd (1835-1905) and Smt.Thandamma (Mariam) daughter of Tharian from Vaikom Pazhayakadavil family.
He was in charge as parish priest at many churches – Palluruthy church—1917, Amballur church–1920, Vallakam church at vaikom, Panavally Church-1927, Kavil Church–1930 and later at Orsalom church–Vaikom.
